Alexey Kireyev, CISSP has a diverse work experience spanning over 27 years. Alexey started their career in 1993 as a Software Engineer at Nortek Ltd. From 1994 to 1996, they worked as a Software Engineer at Gamayun Ltd, where they designed and developed software systems for petrol station automation. At Zemlya State Enterprise from 1996 to 1999, Alexey served as the Lead System Architect, developing GIS systems and leading a team.
In 1999, they joined Vest Ltd as a Principal Software Engineer and Software Architect, contributing to the design and architecture of a multi-tier component framework for building informational systems. Alexey then moved to EBSCO Publishing in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on the design and development of a new generation of their full-text informational system.
From 2004 to 2006, Alexey worked at Phase Forward Inc as a Principal Software Engineer, responsible for the development of a web-based electronic data capture solution for clinical trials. Alexey then joined Verdasys Inc in 2006 as a Principal Software Engineer, leading the design and development of an enterprise security and information protection platform, including an email encryption system.
In 2013, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Security Engineer, working on building a more secure Vertica, focusing on threat modeling and vulnerability management. From 2015 to 2021, they worked at Avid Technology as a Product Security Architect, overseeing the security aspects of software development and production deployments, and spearheading the implementation of secure software development life cycles and continuous risk evaluation.
Currently, since 2018, Alexey serves as the Founder and CTO of Pastel Network. With a background in cybersecurity and extensive experience in software development and architecture, Alexey has consistently demonstrated expertise in building secure systems and integrating best security practices.
Alexey Kireyev pursued their education in Computer Science from 1987 to 1993 at Moscow State Technological University "Stankin" where they obtained a Master of Science Degree. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in November 2022. Prior to that, in August 2014, they also obtained the CNSS-4016I Certified Risk Analyst and RMF certification from the Committee on National Security Systems.
