Heather Grimes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Heather began their career as an Office Manager at Door and Hardware Openings, Inc. in 1995. Later, they worked as a Database Administrator and Quality Assurance Analyst at Nielsen Media Research. Following this, they served as a Resource Manager and Database Administrator at Alltel Information Services and as the Director of IT Operations/Senior IT Project Manager at Edix Corporation. In 2003, they took on the role of Sales Coordinator at Door and Hardware Openings, Inc. before transitioning to Lowe's as a Commercial Sales Specialist. In 2004, they joined Pasco County Government, where they undertook various roles including Enterprise Technical Manager, Acting Chief Information Officer, Customer Service/Performance Development Administrator, and Assistant County Administrator. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Administrative Officer at Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller, a role they assumed in 2017.

Heather Grimes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Heather later pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration at Saint Leo University, completing their studies from 2007 to 2009.
