Crystal Dávila is proud to call herself a lifelong Pasadenian. Her mother came to the US 1989 as a migrant worker with little money in her pocket but big dreams in her heart, and her father worked various odd jobs in Houston.
Her parents' struggles as immigrants have impacted Ms. Davila’s values. Attending Pasadena ISD schools in her youth--including L.F. Smith and Queens Intermediate--Crystal learned early on that education brings respect and upward mobility. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 2011.
