Wayne Edwards has extensive work experience in the actuarial field. Wayne started their career in 1999 as a Senior Manager, Actuarial at Ernst & Young in Bermuda. Wayne then joined PartnerRe in 2002, where they worked as a Senior Actuary in the Group Actuarial department until 2012. Wayne then moved on to The Economical Insurance Group, where they served as Vice President - Corporate Actuarial from 2012 to 2017. In 2017, Wayne joined disquisitive Actuarial Consulting Solutions Ltd as a Consultant, specializing in implementing IFRS 17 Insurance Accounting solutions. Wayne held this role until 2018 when they returned to PartnerRe as the VP & Senior Reserving Actuary (Non-Life) - Canada & Latin America. In 2020, Wayne was promoted to VP & Sr Reserving Actuary (Non-Life), Head of P&C Americas at PartnerRe, where they currently work.

Wayne Edwards attended the University of Waterloo from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science (BMath). Wayne later obtained certifications as a Fellow from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2012 and from the Casualty Actuarial Society in 2001.
