Darrick Boord has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Darrick started their career at The Times-Reporter as a Weekend Editor from March 2002 to March 2007. Darrick then worked as a Marketing Director at Hartville MarketPlace & Flea Market from March 2007 to July 2011, where they coordinated advertising campaigns and developed email campaigns. Following this, they joined Lisbon Morning Journal as a Copy Editor and Page Designer from July 2011 to May 2013, where they designed pages and special sections and covered sports.
From May 2013 to June 2015, Darrick worked at Elkhorn Valley Christian Service Camp as a Marketing and Adventure Program Director. In this role, they created promotional materials, managed the camp's website and social media presence, and facilitated leadership development and team-building activities.
In 2015, they moved on to Christian Children's Home of Ohio, where they served as the Adventure Program Director. Darrick oversaw the Poplar Ridge Adventures program and Worship and Retreat Center, designed leadership development and team-building programming, and recruited groups for adventure programming and retreat center utilization.
Darrick gained experience in marketing and communications as the Marketing and Communications Director at Amber Ashley's Popinjay from August 2016 to May 2021. Darrick managed the website and social media presence, as well as built and maintained the website using Weebly.com.
More recently, Darrick worked at The Timken Company as a Customer Relations Management Representative from July 2022 to February 2023. In this role, they provided proactive account management, exceeded customer expectations, and served as the primary contact for customers in the order-to-cash business process.
Currently, Darrick is employed at Parksite as a Building Product Specialist since January 2023.
Darrick Boord earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Kent State University in 2018.
