Trent Payne has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Trent currently works as a Senior Product Designer at ParkMobile, LLC. Prior to this, they worked at Sogeti from 2017 to 2021, starting as a User Experience Designer and later promoted to the role of Senior Consultant. At Sogeti, Trent was responsible for various projects such as designing enterprise applications for a restaurant chain, conducting user research, designing UI, and creating usability tests. Before joining Sogeti, they worked as an Instructional Assistant at General Assembly for a brief period in 2017, assisting in the UX/UI education of students. In 2017, Trent also worked as a UX/UI Designer at StayMarta. In 2016, they completed a full-time program at General Assembly as a User Experience Designer, where they focused on rapid prototyping, information architecture, collaboration, augmented reality, and responsive redesign. Prior to their career in design, Trent gained experience in different fields, including roles such as Distribution Generalist at McMaster-Carr, Cowboy at MDH Properties Ltd, and Broker at Cavalry Logistics. Trent also worked as a Store Manager at Pita Pit USA and Assistant Manager of Shipping at Masterpiece Arms, Inc.

Trent Payne attended The University of Georgia from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs. In 2016, they enrolled in freeCodeCamp for a Full Stack Web Development program and also participated in a User Experience Design Immersive program at General Assembly. In terms of additional certifications, Trent obtained multiple certifications from Lynda.com in UX design techniques, including sketching, prototyping, ideation, creating scenarios and storyboards, and paper prototyping, all in October 2016. Trent also obtained certifications in Learn Sketch: The Basics, UX Design Tools: Photoshop, and Foundations of UX: Multidevice Design from Lynda.com. Recently, in February 2021, Trent became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM.
