David Dexter serves as Research Director at Parkinson's UK and holds the position of Visiting Professor of Neuropharmacology at Imperial College London. Since March 2017, David has managed the research grants funding strategy for the largest Parkinson’s medical research funder in Europe, enhancing funding clarity and focus through a blend of academic and scientific expertise. David's leadership encompasses multimillion-pound budgets and initiatives in patient engagement, along with responsibilities as Professor of Neuropharmacology and Deputy Head of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London since November 1994. David obtained a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of London and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Bradford.
