Bob Usher possesses extensive experience in the textile and fiber industry, currently serving as the Technical Director of Synthetic Fibers at Parkdale Mills, Inc. since October 2013. Prior to this role, Bob was the Technical Director at David Poole Company and held the position of R&D Director at Wellman Fibers Division, where responsibilities included designing and developing new fibers and polymers. Bob's earlier career includes significant roles at Celanese and Phillips 66, focusing on the development of new fibers and managing manufacturing units. Bob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Sciences and Engineering from North Carolina State University, earned between 1969 and 1972.
