Gökçe Öter's work experience includes being a Research Specialist at Paribu since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher PHD at Boğaziçi University from 2020 to 2022, focusing on a research project related to mapping upper mantle characteristics in Turkey. They also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boğaziçi University in 2017, where they were involved in a research project evaluating higher order moments of stress-glut. Their work experience also includes an internship at Bogazici University in 2014.

Gökçe Öter completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Boğaziçi University from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, Öter obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geophysics and Seismology, also from Boğaziçi University. Öter's undergraduate education was at Istanbul University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geophysical Engineering from 2011 to 2015.
