Rajiv Gangurde

Vice President, Technical Operations, Cell & Gene Therapy at Parexel

Rajiv Gangurde, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Rajiv currently serves as the Vice President of Technical Operations for Cell & Gene Therapy at Parexel since November 2022. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at SparingVision from October 2020 to October 2022, where they led the development of ocular gene therapies and managed various CMC activities.

From 2018 to 2020, Rajiv worked at Voyager Therapeutics, Inc. as the Senior Director of CMC Strategy & Execution, where they developed CMC strategies for gene therapy projects and managed collaborations with external partners. Rajiv also held the role of Director of Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) at Voyager Therapeutics, where they coordinated cross-functional interactions and ensured compliance with project goals.

Before joining Voyager Therapeutics, Rajiv was Director of Bioprocess Development & Manufacturing at Genocea Biosciences from 2016 to 2017, and Associate Director of Protein Production from 2013 to 2016. Rajiv also has experience as the Head of Protein Sciences at LakePharma, Inc. and as a Senior Research Fellow at Harvard University.

In their early career, Rajiv worked as a Research Fellow at the Diabetes Unit of Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and as a Post-doc at the Department of Biochemistry, New Jersey Medical School, UMDNJ. Rajiv started their professional journey as a Lecturer at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Mumbai.
