Nic Barnhart has a long and varied work experience. In 2005, they began their career as a Second Lieutenant in the USAF. In 2006, they co-founded Kablinga, Inc. as the Vice President of Product Management. In 2007, they co-founded the Somaly Mam Foundation, a nonprofit combating human trafficking and slavery in Southeast Asia, and served as Co-chair. In 2009, they became the Director of Operations and Product Management at Healthagen LLC, a venture-backed mobile healthcare tech startup that was later acquired by Aetna. In 2011, they interned as an MBA Summer Intern in Product Strategy at HOSTING. In 2013, they joined SONIFI Solutions, Inc. as the Vice President of Studio Content Acquisition, Chief of Staff to the CEO, and Director of Strategy & Partnerships. In 2017, they joined ZipRecruiter as the Senior Director of Business Planning and Analytics, and Senior Director of Monetization, and Director of Monetization. In 2020, they co-founded Pareto Labs as the Chief Product Officer.

Nic Barnhart received an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School between 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. in Behavioral Science and Human Factors Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Code School in Try jQuery, building-blocks-of-express-js, real-time-web-with-node-js, and shaping-up-with-angular-js.
