John Finerty has a long history of work experience in the electrical industry. John began their career in 1987 as a Sales Representative at Rosenblum & Company. John then moved on to Schmitz Electrical Sales in 1988, where they also worked as a Sales Representative. In 1996, they became a Sales employee at Gould Shawmut Inc. John then moved to Legrand NA in 1999, where they continued in a Sales role. In 2014, John began working at Brook Electrical as both President and Vice President of Sales. In 2020, they became an Independent Executive Consultant at JTF Consulting. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Director of Business Development at Paramont EO and Crest Lighting.

John Finerty attended Monmouth College, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General, from 1986.
