Karen Brown is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in gifted education. Currently serving as the Director of Gifted Education at Paradise Valley Unified School District since 2004, Karen supports gifted specialists and teachers by enhancing curriculum and instruction for students and families in gifted programs. As an instructor in the online Graduate Masters Program in Gifted Education at Arizona State University since 2010, Karen teaches essential courses focused on differentiation, social-emotional needs, and creativity. Previous roles include consulting and directorship positions in gifted programs across various school districts, along with experience as a literacy coach. Karen holds a Master's Degree in Education/Teaching of the Gifted and Talented from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from Northern Arizona University.
