Anna Van Tuinen has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In that year, they began working as an Accent Reduction Specialist for Accent Reduction San Francisco, where they helped innovative professionals improve their English pronunciation and speaking skills. Anna also began working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a private practice. In 2013, they founded and became the CEO of Paper Anniversary by Anna V., a company whose mission is to create personalized gifts that make people say "This is the most thoughtful gift I've ever gotten!" and are handmade by artisans in San Francisco.

Anna Van Tuinen began their education in 2006, when they earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Communicative Disorders and French. In 2008 and 2009, they attended La Sorbonne, Institut de Linguistique et Phonétique Générale et Appliquée to study Linguistics and Philosophy. In 2010, they earned a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from McGill University. In 2019, Anna became a Member of eCommerceFuel and was certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
