Renato Serra has extensive work experience in the software engineering and development field. Renato is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Papaya, a position they have held since February 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract) at Deliveroo from November 2020 to January 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer (Contract) at Babylon Health from August 2019 to April 2020. Renato also worked at Deliveroo as a Lead Software Engineer from January 2017 to June 2019. Before their time at Deliveroo, they were a Software Engineer at Hailo from July 2015 to December 2016. Renato began their career as a Software Developer at Vodafone and Novabase, where they worked from October 2013 to June 2015.

Renato Serra's education history begins in 2008 when they obtained the FCE - First Certificate in English from ESOL Cambridge Examinations. Renato then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Software Engineering, from Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal - EST between 2009 and 2013.

In 2012, Renato Serra participated in the Erasmus Program at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, where they studied Computer Science for a year. Additionally, they attended the Erasmus Intensive Programme at Hogeschool PXL in the same year, focusing on Steganography and Digital Investigations (SDI).
