Natalie Schmitt

Board Member at PANGJE FOUNDATION

Natalie Schmitt is an accomplished scientist and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at McMaster University since October 2016, focusing on the development of innovative DNA detection devices for wildlife. In addition, Schmitt holds the position of CEO at WildTechDNA, a company founded in 2020, and has contributed as a board member for the PANGJE FOUNDATION and as an ambassador for Sustain Credits. With prior experience as a senior geneticist aboard the Australian Antarctic Division’s ecological voyage and as a field biologist monitoring NZ sea-lions, Schmitt has a strong background in biological sciences, culminating in a Ph.D. from The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours from The University of Western Australia.
