Paul Sutton has a diverse work experience in the finance sector. Paul started their career as the Chief Financial Officer at Haymarket Cooperative Bank in 1993 and continued in this role until 1998. Paul then served as the Chief Financial Officer at National Bank of Greece in 1998. In 2000, Paul joined PanAgora Asset Management as the Chief Financial Officer. Later in 2004, they joined Putnam Investments as the Divisional CFO and also held the position of Senior Vice President and Director of Joint Venture Finance until 2010. Paul's tenure at Putnam Investments lasted until 2018.
Paul Sutton completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy at Bentley University from 1979 to 1983. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Certified Public Accountant in May 1989 from the Massachusetts board. Paul also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in September 2000 and the Chartered Global Management Accountant title from the AICPA in August 2012.
