Itay Katz is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in engineering and cybersecurity. Currently serving as VP of Engineering at Palo Alto Networks since May 2018, previously held roles including Director of Engineering and Backend Team Manager. Prior to joining Palo Alto Networks, Itay Katz was a Senior Backend Developer at SECDO, a company acquired by Palo Alto Networks. At Shine Technologies Corp, from December 2012 to December 2016, Itay Katz was Chief Research Officer, leading the development of an advanced ad-blocking solution and a high-speed advertisement traffic analyzer. Itay Katz also served as a Senior Security Expert at Maglan Information Defense & Intelligence Group, focusing on penetration tests and security audits, and was a Security Researcher during service in the Israel Defense Forces, where leadership of a team of security experts was undertaken. Itay Katz holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from IDC, obtained in 2012.
