Karen Kwan, CFRE, currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation, where responsibilities include development planning and strategy. Kwan has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, having held various leadership roles, including Immediate Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Silicon Valley Chapter and Board Member at Zohar Dance Company and Peninsula Youth Theatre. Previous positions include Director of Development & Marketing at Music for Minors, Leadership Gifts Officer at the Asian Art Museum, and Major Gifts Officer at the Community School of Music and Arts. Kwan holds a Certificate of Fundraising Management from the University of Indiana Center on Philanthropy and a BA in Communications and Art History from Santa Clara University.
