Crisostomo (Cris) Gomez is a Fisheries Biologist currently employed at Palmer since June 2023, with prior experience at ERM: Environmental Resources Management from April 2021 to June 2023, and in an earlier role as an Aquatic Biologist at Palmer from August 2018 to April 2021, where responsibilities included supporting mining and infrastructure projects through environmental assessments and monitoring programs. Cris's professional background also includes a position as a Research Technician at Fisheries and Oceans Canada, focusing on salmon nutrition and food webs, as well as managing collaborative research programs from February 2017 to August 2018. In academia, Cris served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia from September 2013 to July 2016, and began a foundational career at Mystic Aquarium as an Exhibit Expert and volunteer. Cris holds a Master's degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island.
