Jonathan Kimmitt is a seasoned digital design engineer with extensive experience in both academic and industry settings. Currently serving as a Senior Digital Design Engineer at Palma Ceia SemiDesign since November 2022, Kimmitt previously held the same role at the company from March 2020 to December 2021. Academic contributions include postdoctoral research positions at the University of Cambridge's Department of Computer Science and Technology and the Department of Chemistry, focused on FPGA accelerators for scientific computing. Kimmitt's career began in engineering and consultancy roles, including significant tenures at Cambridge Silicon Radio Limited and CCL Design & Development, where expertise in processor design, FPGA verification, and product prototyping were developed. Kimmitt holds a PhD in Computer Science from Anglia Ruskin University and an MA in Electrical Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
