Leyna Lightman is an accomplished independent curator with extensive experience in arts education and community engagement. Since April 2015, Leyna has been running Independent Curation, designing and producing collaborative projects with notable organizations such as The Getty Museum and the Palm Springs Art Museum. Leyna also serves as a docent trainer at the Palm Springs Art Museum and co-founded the California Grain Campaign, promoting the local grain economy. Previous roles include Manager of Education and Interim Director of Education at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU, and an Education Associate at SFMOMA, where Leyna developed innovative curriculum and professional development programs for teachers. Leyna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Smith College.
