Gulshan Akhundova is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and public health. Currently serving as Chairperson of the Woman, Development Future Public Union since June 2013, Gulshan ensures effective management and provides support to team members. As a member of the COP 29 Organizing Committee of Azerbaijan, responsibilities include contributing to the decision-making process of the Convention. Roles also include Medical Expert at A-group Insurance Company and Pharmaceutical and Environmental Expert at Palex Group Inc., focusing on pharmaceutical quality control and prescription management. Previous experience includes significant positions at Bechtel Corporation, World Bank Group, International Relief and Development, and others, with a strong emphasis on community mobilization, training, and health program management. Gulshan holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with a specialization in Pharmacology from Azerbaijan State Medical University.
