Sean Samuelson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Sean currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Upfort, where they have been working since January 2024. Prior to this, they served as a Staff Fullstack Engineer at Upfort from February 2023 to January 2024.

Before joining Upfort, Sean worked at Imagine Impact as a Senior Software Engineer from May 2021 to February 2023. Sean was responsible for developing software solutions during their tenure.

From November 2018 to May 2021, Sean worked at The Community Company as a Senior Engineering Lead, leading the frontend engineering team and helping build purpose-specific social networks and professional communities for Fortune 500 brands.

Sean also has experience as an Owner/Principal Engineer, both at Index Development & Design (from July 2014 to November 2018) and Greenmind Design (from September 2006 to February 2013). Additionally, they served as the CTO/Co-Founder at Uxibit from February 2013 to July 2014.

Earlier in their career, Sean worked as an Interactive Developer at Toolhouse Inc. from July 2004 to September 2006 and as a Creative Director at WWU Publicity Center from August 2003 to July 2004.

Sean Samuelson earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design from Western Washington University, where they studied from 2002 to 2005. In 2020, they attended Y Combinator, completing the YC SUS 2020 program focused on startups.
