Lauren Bates is an experienced art educator currently serving at Richland School District 2 since July 2024, following a role as a substitute teacher for Beaufort County School District from August 2023 to February 2024. Prior experience includes teaching art for grades 6-8 at Savannah-Chatham County Public School System and Beaufort County School District, where lesson planning, classroom management, and promoting independent thinking were key responsibilities. Lauren held various positions during university, including server at Olive Garden, resident advisor, and production print specialist at Anderson University, along with a role as a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Academically, Lauren is pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling: Art Therapy at PennWest Edinboro, having previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Anderson University.
