Christian Plessl is a full professor specializing in High-Performance Computing at Paderborn University since September 2007, where Christian also serves as a member of the Academic Senate and the Faculty Council. With a robust background in reconfigurable computing and embedded systems, Christian has held various academic positions, including associate and assistant professor roles, and has been a postdoctoral research associate at ETH Zurich. Currently, Christian is a board member of the NHR-Alliance and serves as the director and chairman of the board at the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing. Christian's prior experience includes internships at ABB Power Automation and ABB Daimler-Benz Transportation. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate and a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich.
