Raymond Tay is an experienced technology leader with extensive expertise in software engineering, high-performance computing, and big data platforms. Currently the Head of Discipline SW AMS Asia at Thales, Tay manages a team to develop ATM products and collaborates on project planning. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Smartpay, Head of Engineering at Thales Digital Factory, and Principal Engineer at Nugit, where key accomplishments involved building scalable software teams and modern data platforms. As a co-author and author of publications on Akka and OpenCL, Tay is dedicated to making high-performance computing accessible to developers. Educationally, Tay holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, specializing in Compiler Theory and Computer Algorithms.
