Malcolm Burks has been working in the professional world since 2008. Theirfirst job was as a Facility Supervisor at Northern Illinois University, where they managed a staff of 25 employees. In 2012, they began working as a Nursing Triage Assistant at Hospice On Call, where they performed telecommunications to patients, their family members, hospitals, nursing homes, and other clients. In 2015, they became a Medical Scribe at PhysAssist Scribes, Inc., working alongside emergency room physicians to document patient history of illness and physical exam findings. In 2017, they began working as a Sales Development Representative at re:work training, a vocational sales training program, and also as a Strategy Consultant at Packback, Inc.

Malcolm Burks earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Pre-Physical Therapy Studies from Northern Illinois University between 2008 and 2012. Malcolm then attended Chicago State University from 2014 to 2015, studying Biology, General.
