Crystal Ophaso has worked in the software engineering field since 2014. Crystal began at Procore Technologies as a Software Engineer, then moved on to a Senior Software QA Engineer role. In this role, they created and executed automated software test plans, cases, and scripts, wrote technical documentation, and became familiar with several accounting systems. Crystal then moved on to a QA Engineer role in the Financial ERP Integrations department, and then a QA Analyst role in the UWP: Universal Windows Platform department. Crystal also had a Mobile QA Analyst (Intern) role in the IOS & Android department. In 2019, they joined Thinkful as a Full Stack Engineer, where they built, tested, and deployed single page apps using React, utilized Agile practices, and received 1:1 mentoring from senior developers. In 2020, they joined Packback as a Software Engineer, where they collaborated with the product team to design and implement new features, tackled bugs and tech debt, and incrementally improved infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline. Crystal also built single-page apps with the JavaScript framework, Angular and worked with web framework Laravel.

Crystal Ophaso obtained their Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from UC Santa Barbara in 2015. In November 2019, they also obtained a Sumo Logic Certification from Sumo Logic.
