Floyd Hood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Floyd started their career in 2005 as Ranch Management at Rancho de la Chuparosa, where they worked until 2007. Following this, they joined Texas A&M AgriLife as a Research Assistant from 2007 to 2009. In 2011, they joined Pacific Office Automation as a Field Sales Manager, where they continue to work.

Floyd Hood obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in General Studies from Southwest Texas Junior College, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in World History and Political Science at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2010 to 2012.
