Valerie Cowan is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in special education and behavior analysis. Currently serving as the Special Education and AT Lead Teacher at Pacific Coast Academy since October 2021, Valerie provides high-quality instruction to students with complex needs, supports parents as learning coaches, and excels in case management to enhance customer satisfaction. Prior to this role, Valerie worked as a Program Specialist 1 - BCBA and Education Specialist at Palmdale School District from February 2008 to October 2021, implementing curriculum and teaching strategies for students with severe autism. Earlier experience includes serving as Child Care & Preschool Site Director at Saugus Union School District, overseeing the operation of both before and after school programs and preschool initiatives. Valerie's educational background includes multiple degrees in fields such as Special Education with an emphasis on autism, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Organizational Management, reinforcing a strong foundation in child development and education.
