Johanna Jensen, Ph.D., is currently a Forest Carbon Scientist at Pachama, with prior experience as a Ph.D. Researcher in Forest Growth & Climate Change at Columbia University from September 2016 to February 2023. During the doctoral research, Johanna collaborated with NASA's Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment, focusing on the impact of climate change on tree growth at the Arctic treeline in Alaska. Expertise in statistical methodologies was demonstrated through the development of robust sampling designs and analyses of forest carbon accumulation, complemented by accomplishments as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and various roles at NEON Program, the NOAA, and the Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute. Johanna holds a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Environmental Biology, along with multiple advanced degrees from Columbia University and a BA in Environmental Science and Policy from Colorado College.
