Max Santayana, CFA, FRM has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Max began their career at BBVA Banco Continental in 1999 as a Branch Manager, where they served for six years. In 2006, they interned at HSBC Card Services and gained valuable experience during their summer internship. The following year, Max worked as a Credit Analyst Intern at PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. In 2008, they joined PAAMCO, where they initially served as a Risk Manager for six years before being promoted to Associate Vice President in 2014.
Max Santayana, CFA, FRM, began their education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Max completed this degree between 1992 and 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, Max pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Max completed this program from 2005 to 2007. Max then continued their education by earning a Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Max completed this program from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, Max obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute in July 2012 and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in September 2013.
