Deka Hassan is a Field Scientist at Oxitec Ltd since November 2022, with prior experience as a Quality Control Manager at Douda Tazwid Industries, where responsibilities included implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System and Food Safety System (HACCP). Deka worked as a Molecular Biology Engineer at IRIM Institut de Recherche en Infectiologie de Montpellier, focusing on Chikungunya nsP3 protein interactions, and as a Lab Technician in Molecular Biology at CHU de Montpellier, designing an inducible CRISPR-Cas9 system in Leishmania. Deka holds a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Montpellier and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Biology from Université de Djibouti.
