Karen Cárcamo is a seasoned software engineer who has worked on various roles in different companies. Recently, they have been employed as an Engineer at Oxide Computer Company in 2022. Before that, they worked for Elastic as a Senior Software Engineer and as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer from 2018. At Elastic, they collaborated on designing an architecture for a container management/administration tool tailored to the needs of Elastic Cloud. Karen also co-lead developed Elastic Cloud Control (ecctl) while performing regular responsibilities within the company's SRE/Tooling organization.

Prior to Elastic, Karen worked as a DevOps Engineer at Loyalty New Zealand in 2017, where they were responsible for establishing the company's infrastructure. Karen also served as a Developer at SilverStripe from 2016, where they led the restructure and maintenance of one of SilverStripe's key client projects, redesigned database schema, and created a new functional testing suite.

Karen started their career as a Contract Software Engineer and Freelance Web Developer in 2009, providing software consulting and development services to various clients. Karen also taught Web Development and Social Media classes to photography students at Escuela Activa de Fotografia Cuernavaca in 2013.

Karen Cárcamo attended Tecnológico de Monterrey but the duration of their studies and degree or field of study is not specified. In March 2018, Karen obtained the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services.
