Piyali Basu currently serves as Head of Project Management at OXGENE since January 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles including Senior Project Manager and Project Manager. Prior to OXGENE, Piyali held various positions at the University of Surrey from October 2015 to January 2022, including Project Manager and Communications Team Manager, as well as Research Fellow and Post Doctoral Research Fellow. Piyali's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems and Synthetic Biology obtained from Brunel University London and a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from the University of Surrey. Prior to academic achievements, Piyali worked as a Fermentation Scientist at TMO Renewables Ltd and as a Fermentation Research Assistant at Lonza during a sandwich year.
