Mateusz Portka is an experienced investment professional and engineer with expertise in deep technology, life sciences, and structural engineering. Currently serving as an Investment Associate at Oxford Technology Management since October 2022, Mateusz analyzes investment opportunities and provides strategic advice to startups. Previously, as a Founder-in-Residence at Entrepreneur First, Mateusz led venture-building initiatives, focusing on ideation and market analysis. Mateusz also collaborated with Oxford Space Systems, utilizing PhD research to innovate product design while consulting on a Synthetic Aperture Radar project. Earlier, as an Assistant Structural Engineer at MP11 sp. z o.o., Mateusz specialized in computational modeling and structural design. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford and MSc and BSc degrees in Civil Engineering Structures from Warsaw University of Technology.
