Yifen Tan is an experienced professional in the field of molecular biology and technical applications, currently serving as Associate Director and Technical Applications Scientist for APAC at Oxford Nanopore Technologies since December 2021. Previous experience includes roles such as Technical Applications Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories and Chief Scientific Officer at Health & Wellness Decoding Pte Ltd. Yifen Tan's background also consists of key positions at QIAGEN, where responsibilities included providing technical support and service training, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School focusing on genome-wide gene expression and pathogenicity studies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Science Malaysia and a BSc in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Malaya.
