Pratik Singh's work experience begins in 2008 with a summer internship at the University of Oxford. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Jacobs University Bremen. Pratik then pursued their PhD at the same university from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies as a Research Scientist, moving up to Senior Scientist from 2020 to 2021. Pratik later served as both a Principal Scientist and a Diagnostic Testing Solution Specialist before present day.

Pratik Singh pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Jacobs University Bremen, completing it between 2006 and 2009. Pratik then continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology between 2009 and 2011. Afterward, they furthered their studies at Jacobs University Bremen and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemical Engineering from 2011 to 2014.
