Louisa Ulrich's work experience includes being a Research Scientist at Oxford Nanopore Technologies starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they were a PHD Student at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen from November 2017 to September 2021. Louisa also worked as a Student Laboratory Assistant at both the University of Glasgow and the University of Stirling in 2017 and 2016 respectively. Additionally, they served as an Intern at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in 2013.

Louisa Ulrich completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Stirling, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow, from 2016 to 2017.
