James Platt has a strong background in biosciences, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Cardiff University in 2009. James completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biosciences at the same university in 2013. James has since held various roles at institutions such as the University of Oxford and National Institutes of Health, gaining experience as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, Predoctoral Visiting Fellow, and Technical Support Specialist. Currently, James is the Director of Sequencing Product Management at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where James has also previously held roles such as Associate Director, Sequencing Product Management, and High Throughput Sequencing Product Manager.
