Weinan Chen is an experienced environmental management professional with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Currently serving as the Manager of Environmental and Regulatory Matters at Oxbow since April 2012, responsibilities include overseeing air environmental performance, compliance guidance, and the implementation of sustainable environmental strategies. Previously, Weinan held key positions at Alon USA, where roles included Environmental Group Leader and Senior Environmental Engineering Advisor, managing multimedia environmental programs and compliance projects. Prior to that, Weinan worked with the US Environmental Protection Agency as a Senior Residential Research Fellow, specializing in air quality modeling, and contributed research in agricultural environmental sciences at the USDA Agricultural Research Service. Weinan began a research career at the Desert Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, where responsibilities involved overseeing research initiatives and international cooperation efforts.
