Eoghan Casey has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics. Eoghan has held key positions in various organizations, including serving as the Vice President of Cybersecurity Strategy & Product Development for their own company in 2022. Eoghan has also been a Professor at the University of Lausanne since 2016 and a Board Member for DFRWS since 2007. Additionally, they have served as the Chief Scientist at the DoD Cyber Crime Center and as a Senior Computer Scientist at the Defense Cyber Crime Center. Eoghan has made significant contributions to the field through their role as the Editor-in-chief for the Journal of Digital Investigation. Eoghan has also worked as a Lead Cyber Security Engineer at The MITRE Corporation and as a Founding Partner at CASEITE, where they specialized in data breach response and investigation.
Eoghan Casey completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from University College Dublin, starting in 2004 and finishing in 2013. Before that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Educational Communication & Technology from New York University, from 1997 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, spanning from 1990 to 1994.
