Srinath Obla has worked in the tech industry for over five years. In 2019, they joined Owl Autonomous Imaging as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where they worked on building a software platform to range distance using thermal cameras, deep learning, and traditional computer vision. Srinath's responsibilities included traditional CV and image processing, deep learning, and software engineering. In 2018, they were a Grader, Graduate Research Assistant, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they analysed activation functions in deep learning, identified necessary properties for activations to perform well, and graded and provided teaching assistance for the Foundations Computer Vision course. In 2014, they were an Intern at YU Televentures Pvt. Ltd., where they tested and performed quality assurance on the Android OS and system applications, and wrote documentation and articles providing software technical information.

Srinath Obla obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 2016. Srinath then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2019.
