Ernie Evans, PE, PMP has a diverse and extensive work experience in various engineering and managerial roles. Ernie started their career at TIW Systems in 1986 as a Mechanical Engineer, where they were responsible for designing large steerable antennas and mechanical drive design for the WM Keck Telescope. In 1991, they joined Continuum Electro-Optics as a Manufacturing Engineer Lead, where they focused on mechanical design and tooling design for precision optical mounts. Ernie then moved to KLA-Tencor in 1994 as an Engineering Manager, overseeing a team of 21 engineers and implementing effective product development processes. In 2001, Ernie returned to Owens Design as a Senior Program Manager, where they managed various programs and successfully implemented project strategies. From 2002 to 2004, they worked at ThermaWave as a Senior Program Manager before returning to Owens Design once again in 2004 in the same role. Throughout their career, Ernie has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in program management and engineering. Their contributions have contributed to the improvement of product development processes and successful project deliveries.
Ernie Evans, PE, PMP completed their education history with a combination of degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Ernie first attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1983 to 1986 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Later, they pursued their studies at San Jose State University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 1993 to 1995. Continuing their education, Ernie Evans earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institution between 1998 and 2001.
