D.R. Grauberger has a diverse work experience in the theater industry. D.R. started their own company, Sir Gustave Doctain storycraft, in 1990, offering interactive storytelling services for various events and conducting workshops on various theater arts. D.R. worked as a Technical Director/Designer at Top Hat Theater in 2011 and at Owatonna Public Schools in 2010, where they were responsible for designing sets and coaching students through the production process. D.R. also worked as a Freelance Craftsperson at The Children's Theatre Company, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Penumbra Theater, and VEE Corporation, contributing to various stagecraft and costume projects. Additionally, they worked at the Guthrie Theater as a Wardrobe staff member in the Costume Warehouse from 2006 to 2021. D.R. also served as a Technical Director/Designer/Tech Coach at Columbia Heights High School from 2009 to 2018 and at Shattuck-St. Mary's School from 2011 to 2014, focusing on mentoring students in theater production and promoting collaborative work between actors and technicians.
