Leyla Ali Dholey has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Leyla is currently working as a Co-founder, CSO, and CMO at Ovulai since May 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Cepheid as a Failure Investigation Scientist from February 2021 to April 2023. Leyla also held roles as a Failure Investigation Associate from September 2020 to February 2021, and as a Failure Investigation Analyst from April 2020 to September 2020 at the same company.

Before joining Cepheid, Leyla worked as a Research Engineer at iCellate Medical AB from November 2019 to April 2020. Leyla also worked as a Research Engineer at SciLifeLab from June 2019 to November 2019. At SciLifeLab, they also completed their Master Thesis, where they developed a microfluidic device for the isolation and purification of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from whole blood to aid non-invasive cancer diagnostics.

Leyla has managerial experience as well. Leyla worked as a Manager at Al-Kowneyns Utbildningscentrum from January 2017 to August 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Tutor at the same organization from August 2013 to June 2017.

In addition, Leyla has gained experience in research and laboratory settings. Leyla worked as a Research Engineer at SciLifeLab from June 2018 to September 2018. Leyla also worked as a Process Engineer at Boule Diagnostics AB from January 2018 to May 2018. Furthermore, they worked as a Laboratory Engineer at Human Protein Atlas, where they contributed to research projects related to protein production and purification.
