Zen Chin has been working in the industry since 2000. Zen'sfirst role was as a Programmer at Asia Compass (S) Pte Ltd from 2000 to 2001. Zen then moved on to become an EDP Specialist at REHAU from 2001 to 2007. After that, they were a Business Analyst at EDS International Singapore Pte Ltd from 2007 to 2008. Zen then worked as a Business Analyst (Wealth Management Systems) at Firium Singapore from 2008 to 2009. From 2009 to 2015, they were the Founder and Director at COVEXIS PTE LTD. Finally, they have been a Co Founder at Overdrive IOT Pte Ltd since 2015.

Zen Chin attended The University of Western Australia from 2005 to 2006, where they earned a Master in Business Administration. Zen then attended Monash University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor in Information Technology.
