Michel van den Akker MSc serves as the Chief Mortgage Officer at DMFCO Asset Management since May 2023 and is also involved in various advisory and leadership roles, including serving as a board member and interim chair at SEH (Stichting Erkend Hypotheekadviseur) and a member of the Advisory Council for the Hypotheken Event with Outvie. Previously, Michel was the CEO of De Hypotheker, leading the company as the market leader in independent mortgage advice in the Netherlands, and held additional leadership roles at Conneqt Mortgage Distribution, Hypotrust, and Paerel Leven. Michel has substantial experience in financial services, including notable positions at AXA, and holds multiple degrees from TIAS School for Business and Society, including a Master of Science and an Executive Master of Management and Organisation.
