Ingeborg Smit serves as the Security & Privacy Lead at the Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport since July 2022, overseeing security and privacy professionals in software development teams. Additionally, Ingeborg has been the Privacy Lead at Smit Legal since January 2010 and has been engaged with Outvie as a trainer and sparring partner since June 2017, sharing expertise in data and privacy within the public domain. Previous roles include Strategic Adviser of Data at Politie Nederland, Associate at Verdonck, Klooster & Associates (VKA), Interim Team Leader at Rijksdienst voor Identiteitsgegevens (RvIG), Project Manager for Data Protection at Politie Nederland, and Interim Team Leader at VNG Realisatie, among others. Ingeborgā€™s academic background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Utrecht University and various certifications in privacy, project management, and mediation.
